1. Feel Better

Phoenix Physio offers a holistic treatment approach. This means taking into consideration all the different body systems and looking at the body as a whole.  Never do we look solely at a symptom like back pain; and treat only that pain, instead we consider all the various factors that may be contributing to the pain.

A variety of manual therapy techniques are often used to reduce, modulate or alleviate the pain and improve soft tissue, joint and nerve mobility.   This may include soft tissue massage techniques, joint mobilisations and joint manipulations.

2. Move Better

Decreased mobility and stiffness are a cause of pain in many different conditions and restoring blood flow and normal movement is key to eliminate the stress and overstrain of the body.

Progressive exercises, stretches, manual therapy and strengthening exercises all have been shown to improve mobility and restore function. You will be able to bend down to the floor, reach up to the high shelf and turn your head fully to look over your shoulder.

Exercises will be designed specifically for your needs, activity is modified and progressed appropriately.

We will also concentrate on helping you activate your core and pelvic stability muscles correctly, often using Pilates techniques, which will give you the foundation of support you need.

3. Live Better

Having a good understanding of your problem will empower you to be in control and learn techniques and strategies that work for you.

Understanding your biomechanics and correcting the whole kinetic chain ensures a permanent solution to your symptoms. By helping you be more independent, relieving your pain and maintaining your health and well-being, you can maximise your potential and enhance your quality of life.

4. Perform Better

Guiding you through your rehabilitation after an operation, accident or a sports injury means you can return to the things you love. Targeted rehab can improve muscle capacity and ensure robustness and resilience and reduce the risk of recurrence or further injury.

Improving your biomechanics, strength, endurance, balance and stability will in turn improve performance. I can guide you back to doing things important to you, like activities with your family, running, dancing, team sports and circus.

You will return stronger, faster and better!
